Affiliation Flatland is affiliated with the Assemblies of God (A/G), a worldwide network of Christian churches. The A/G has 52+ million members in 260,000+ churches throughout 212 countries. It is the 4th largest Christian organization in the world. The benefits of being connected to the A/G are many. The churches in the A/G are virtually independent (we use the term "autonomous"), bound together by cooperative fellowship and a common statement of faith based solely on the Bible. Although autonomous, A/G churches and ministers are accountable to one another which guards against malpractice and fosters best practices. Churches in the A/G work together to share resources, hold conventions and camping programs for men, women, teens and children, produce excellent curriculum, and provide disaster relief and missions around the world.
