Take a few minutes today to read Matthew 6:1-34.
For Reflection:
- Why does God reward some who give to the needy, pray and fast, but not reward others?
- What are some possible ways we can store up for ourselves treasures in heaven?
- Jesus urges us not to worry. What advice does he give to help us eliminate worry from our lives?
Prayer Starters:
P – Praise: Lord, You are pure and holy and full of mercy. You love the birds of the air and the lilies of the field. Thank You also for loving me.
R – Repent: Forgive me for acting selfishly, even praying selfishly. Forgive me for storing up treasures for myself, worrying about what I will eat, what I will drink, and what I will wear.
A – Ask: Give me what I need for each day, and help me be content. Lead me not into temptation, and keep me from being corrupted by the enemy of my soul.
Y – Yield: I seek You, Your kingdom and Your righteousness. I commit myself to You, and will strive to store up great treasures in heaven.
Have A Great Day!
