Shine Like A Star - Week 3 - Day 5

Filed under: Daily, Shine Like A Star — David Petersen @ 4:00 am

The Script

9 Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:9-11

The Plot

The words of Eleanor Roosevelt ring true: One’s philosophy is not best expressed in words. It is expressed in the choices one makes. In the long run, we shape our lives and we shape ourselves. The process never ends until we die. And the choices we make are ultimately our responsibility.

We do have a choice. Ultimately everyone, even the condemned, will acknowledge Jesus Christ as Lord. You can choose now to commit your life to Christ or be forced to acknowledge him as Lord when he returns.

Walk Through

  1. Why is Christ’s name so important?
  2. When will every knee bow and tounge confess that Jesus Christ is Lord?
  3. Christ may return at any moment. Are you prepared to meet him?

Ad Lib

When you have to make a choice and don’t make it, that is in itself a choice.
