Today’s passage is 2 Corinthians 3:12-18. Join us in reading it.
The tension between Christian Jews and Christian Gentiles is found early in the Church. When Peter preached to the Gentiles, as seen in Acts 10-11, many felt this was absolutely scandalous. Even after Gentiles were allowed into the Church, many attempted to push the Jewish laws onto the Gentiles. The church in Corinth most likely had this problem, with a group of Jewish Christians trying to force Judaism onto the Gentiles.
