We are beginning in our reading a two chapter section on giving. The churches in Macedonia are presented as a prime example of how to give. Despite their situation, they were filled with abundant joy. That resulted in a generous heart, people willing to give to others. Not only were they willing, but they begged to be involved giving beyond what they could afford.
