4 Perspectives for 4 Days: The Disciples
Matthew 17:14-21; Mark 9:14-29; Luke 9:37-43
Jesus has left us. He has taken Peter, James and John up on the mountain to pray. The rest of we disciples have been left to deal with the crowd until their return. Not that dealing with the crowd is a big deal. If you follow Jesus, you learn how to deal with crowds; it is just a fact of life. People are continually seeking Him out for healing, to hear Him teach, to have Him bless their children and themselves. And this crowd is nothing like the old days, the early days, in Galilee. Those were crowds. So on the whole, it is not strenuous duty. We will wait for His return. In the meantime, we will heal those who come, cast out the occasional demon and do what needs to be done.
