Today’s passage is Acts 2. Please join us in study.
Some say that Acts 2 is the birth of the church. They miss the fact that the day of Pentecost is over a month after the death and resurrection of Christ. Around 120 people are meeting together as a church in obedience to Jesus as commanded (see Acts 1:4). They have even had their first business meeting to elect a new person to be an apostle to replace Judas Iscariot (Acts 1:12-26).
