The Trinity
Matthew 3:13-17

Jesus is being baptized by John the Baptist.  As He emerges from the Jordan, the Holy Spirit comes down on Him like a dove and the Father speaks, saying ‘This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.’  In these verses we see all three Persons of the Trinity together in finite time and space, with both Father and Spirit witnessing to the Son.  There is nothing here that proves the Trinity, but the foundation is certainly laid for the step of faith needed to accept Father, Son and Holy Spirit as One in the same.
