Paloozas!

6 times a year, Flatland Kids offers Paloozas for the entire ministry. These are Sundays featuring games, crafts, snacks and a great opportunity to invite friends and family!

Our Values in Action

At Flatland Church we have our 5 core values of Authenticity, Enthusiasm, Love, Collaboration, and Transformation. We live out these values at Flatland Kids in 7 ways:

  • Jesus in Every Step

    Jesus is the way.

We believe that Jesus is the only way to have a good relationship with God. Every Sunday kids hear the truths of Jesus, pray in Jesus name, and offer salvation through Jesus every Sunday.

  • Biblical Comprehension

Our guide for life and faith.

The Bible is God’s gift to humanity, we teach from the Bible and assist kids in learning how to navigate the Bible themselves.

  • Parents in the Lead

    Without parents we go nowhere.

We want every parent in our ministry involved in their kids' discipleship journey. We partner with parents to help them be the best source of discipleship in their lives. We love having parents involved!

  • Empowered by the Spirit

Our comforter and counselor, sent by Jesus.

We believe the Holy Spirit still moves today and is for everyone. At Flatland Kids, we create space for kids to hear from Him, grow in their understanding, and be empowered to make Jesus known.

  • Giving that Moves

Our part to bring Jesus to the world.

Through “The Move”, kids are encouraged to give to BGMC (Boys and Girls Missionary Challenge). This program supports many different organizations that meet needs around the world, and bring the Gospel to them.

  • Pray without Ceasing

    We talk to Jesus!

We take God seriously, when He says to “never stop praying”. We pray multiple times during services, encourage kids to bring up needs they know of to be prayed over, and encourage kids to pray for one another.

  • Everyday Witness

    Bringing Jesus to our circumstance.

Jesus is for everyone! We teach every Sunday about taking Jesus to each unique circumstance God has placed kids in. We want every kid in our ministry to be a witness for Jesus every day to their friends, families and classmates!

For the Parents

The stuff you’re wondering about.

We know that bringing your kids to a new place can feel like a lot. Whether you're wondering what the safety check-in looks like, what they’ll be learning, or what to do if your child needs you during service—we’ve got you covered. Here are the answers to the questions we hear most often so you can feel completely at ease this Sunday.

Don’t see your question? Reach out to Jacob below!

  • What happens when I arrive for the first time?

No problem! When you arrive, head to Kid’s Check-In and a member of our host team will help you get registered. We’ll collect a few basic details so you can check your child in quickly and securely.

Want to have a quicker check in? Plan your visit!

  • How does check-in and pickup work?

When you arrive, head to Kid’s Check-In and enter the last four digits of your phone number at one of our iPads. Select your child’s name and complete check-in. Each child will receive a name tag.

    For pickup:

    • Nursery: You’ll need your matching security tag to pick up your child.
    • Juniors & Kid’s Church: Parents pick up their child directly from their classroom.

Our Kids Ministry area is secure, with a single entry point for added safety.

  • What if my child needs me during service?

If your child needs you we will contact you and have you come to the North Wing to pick them up or comfort them. We do not allow any children to leave the wing without a parent.

  • Are your leaders' background checked?

Every leader over 18 is background checked. Every leader regardless of age fills out an application, and is trained for their specific area of responsibility.

  • What should my child bring?

We ask that your child leave personal items such as toys, stuffed animals and other items of that nature at home. We do encourage them to bring their Bibles, Buddy Barrels or other items needed for church.

  • Can my child invite a friend?

We encourage it! We love to see Flatland Kids inviting their friends to church. Every child is welcome to our kids ministry!

If they come with you, they will be added to your profile and will be checked in under your number and information.

  • What if my child is nervous or it’s their first time?

Our leaders are intentional about helping every child feel welcomed and at home. From the moment they arrive, kids are cared for, included, and quickly begin building friendships with both leaders and other kids.
